Record Guinness record is the Asturian fabada I've seen on television today. It is the largest fabada in the world and they have cooked it in the Asturian municipality of Arbón.
The resulting fabada has fed 1,700 people, 200 more than the previous fabada of La Felguera that was around 1,500, and all under notarial control. And how did they come up with the idea? It seems that it is on its way to becoming a tradition, two years ago they did it with the excuse of joining together and claiming that a road that would go through a bean farming area was not built. It was achieved and celebrated every year (so far three years) in that way.
To be able to make this fabada, a casserole of 2.5 meters wide and 4 long. 30 kg of beans, 800 kilos of compango and 4 hours of cooking. Surely the neighbors enjoyed the beauty of this fabada.Advertising
